Marjito Iskandar Tri Gunawan is a talented filmmaker from Indonesia with a passion for storytelling and documentary filmmaking. With a focus on culture, social and environmental issues, He brings a unique perspective to his work, aiming to raise awareness and inspire change through the power of cinema. He built his filmmaking career from independent film community during his bachelor study in Yogyakarta. Since 2010 he focused on developing his own production house, Tumbuh Kembang Indonesia and producing contents for international NGOs and Institutions, Such as, Australian Volunteers International, Childfund International Indonesia, Korea International Cooperation Agency, Center for Southeast Asian Studies of Kyoto University, Tifa Foundation, Combine Resource Institution, originhope.com, UK. He is also a Youtube channel manager, for an educational institution.
Gunawan is currently producing his project named “ Preserving Endangered Traditional Bamboo and Wooden Watermill of Minangkabau Culture Through Participatory Documentation Project”, which as one of grant awardee Endangered Material Knowledge Program from the British Museum, United Kingdom.
